The images shown illustrate 2 methods of grouping solutions: grouping by family or grouping by multiplicity. Whichever grouping is chosen, the solution is initially presented identically on the 2 images. When grouping by family is chosen, the solution displayed on the left shows the family representative (RCE). The solution displayed on the right scrolls through the 11 other solutions corresponding to geometric transformations (rotations and symmetries) of the reference solution. Each family has 12 solutions. Note that, by construction, a reference solution (RCE) has a family index identical to the raw index.

Grouping by multiplicity allows you to choose a raw solution. These solutions are organized according to their multiplicity value. This value indicates the number of solutions found from a fixed TANGRAM part order. Solutions in this context differ in part variants, while maintaining the same order. There are 11!/4! orders, and solutions are found roughly every 40 orders. For a given order of parts, there are between 0 and 13 solutions found. Each solution can be filtered by its number of multiplicities, between 1 and 13. The slider, then scrolls through the multiple solutions. They all have the same main loop number.
